In this informative and fun workshop I will take you through some key ideas on how to develop and deepen your experiences of abstract photography. I will show you the techniques I use to approach this photo style, and give you takeaway tips and ideas that will inspire you to explore this exciting genre. “Of all the arts, abstract painting is the most difficult. It demands that you know how to draw well, that you have a heightened sensitivity for composition and for colors, and that you be a true poet. This last is essential.” -Wassily Kandinsky. I feel the same is true of abstract photography. It seems easy and simple – but in fact requires real attention, a ‘heightened sensitivity’ to both composition and to the world around you.

Californian photographer Anthony Epes lives in Andalucia, Spain. He came to Europe to shoot London twenty years ago for his first book, and stayed to create a series of books and exhibitions on Cities at Dawn, as well as a beautiful family. Anthony’s projects and work have been featured on The Guardian, BBC World, French Photo Magazine, The Economist, CNN, Atlas Obscura and Digital Photographer. Anthony shares his passion for photography in photo workshops around the world, and in inspiring online classes.
