Our March 18, 2021 @ 7:00 PM program is from Lisa Langell, presenting “An Artistic Photographer Lies in All of Us”.
About This Webinar
We as photographers often want to be more innovative and creative, but our own mental barriers can “prevent” the creative process from happening. One of the biggest mental blocks is simply believing, “I’m not a very creative person.”
I hear this most often from engineers, accountants, and those in technical fields who have struggled to discover the creative style they desire.
This session breaks down creative barriers in a really fun and logical way! I take an interactive, myth-busters-style approach! You’ll learn how to apply the creative process and develop patterns that will bring more joy, innovation, success, creativity and happiness to your photography! You will learn:
• How even those who feel they “are not artistic” can actually become artistic and creative
• Understand “imaginative skill” and how it develops
• About my “Mash up” formula
• How you can debunk your own myths about artistic and creative ability
• How to exercise your creativity through real-world examples and activities we will complete during the session
• Inspirations to take with you

Our January 21, 2021 @ 7:15 PM program is from Rob Knight, presenting “Flash Techniques for Nature Photography”.
About This Webinar
Learning to use flash seems to be one of the most intimidating subjects for a lot of photographers. There are many resources for portrait photographers to learn about light, but this webinar is designed especially for nature photographers. In this free class, I’ll show you basic settings for using flash for macro photography. I’ll show you exactly how I set up my camera, the settings I use on my flash, and some handy ways to modify the light to create natural-looking light that enhances my subjects. I will also explain how I use flash and flash extenders to add fill light when shooting with telephoto lenses. I will go over camera settings as well as flash settings for TTL and manual speedlights.

Our Saturday, December 12, 2020 @ 11:00 AM! program is from Anthony Epes, presenting “11 Tips for Awesome Abstract Photos”-from his Petapixel article
About This Webinar
In this informative and fun workshop I will take you through some key ideas on how to develop and deepen your experiences of abstract photography. I will show you the techniques I use to approach this photo style, and give you takeaway tips and ideas that will inspire you to explore this exciting genre. “Of all the arts, abstract painting is the most difficult. It demands that you know how to draw well, that you have a heightened sensitivity for composition and for colors, and that you be a true poet. This last is essential.” -Wassily Kandinsky. I feel the same is true of abstract photography. It seems easy and simple – but in fact requires real attention, a ‘heightened sensitivity’ to both composition and to the world around you.
Californian photographer Anthony Epes lives in Andalucia, Spain. He came to Europe to shoot London twenty years ago for his first book, and stayed to create a series of books and exhibitions on Cities at Dawn, as well as a beautiful family. Anthony’s projects and work have been featured on The Guardian, BBC World, French Photo Magazine, The Economist, CNN, Atlas Obscura and Digital Photographer. Anthony shares his passion for photography in photo workshops around the world, and in inspiring online classes.
